Spotlighting Nigeria’s Freedom of Information implementation focused on transparency, accountability, and governance reform.

This report was designed as a visual interpretation of transparency, accountability, and institutional reform within Nigeria’s governance system. The design approach focused on transforming a dense, research-heavy policy document into an engaging and accessible reading experience through strong editorial structure, clear typographic hierarchy, and data-driven storytelling.
Using a clean grid system, restrained color palette, and structured information layouts, the report balances professionalism with readability while guiding readers through a decade of FOI implementation, compliance rankings, legal precedents, and civic advocacy insights. Infographics, timelines, and comparative visual elements were integrated to simplify complex governance data and improve comprehension across diverse audiences including policymakers, civil society organisations, researchers, and development stakeholders.
The overall visual direction reinforces the report’s core message that transparency must move beyond legislation into institutional culture, positioning the publication as both a research document and an advocacy communication tool.
